Title:Unix Administrator
Location:Delaware
Duration:6 months
Description:
• Strong UNIX skills including scripting and perl.. Familiarity with AIX, Linux, SUN.
• Knowledge of file transmission protocols and networking: FSFTP, FTP/S, HTTPS, AS2/3, Connect:Direct , TCP/IP
• Knowledge of Encryption – PGP, GPG, TDACCESS
• Strong SQL Database skills. Familiarity with Oracle, SQL Plus
• Working knowledge of Batch scheduling software (Control-M, CA7, TWS);
• Project Management skills
Other skills:
• Strong analytical abilities highly developed oral and written communication skills.
• Requirement gathering and hands-on, design and development experience is necessary.
• Knowledge of credit card, direct mail or marketing business functions is a plus.
• Must work well either independently or as part of a team. .
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Candidate must be able to:
• Translate business requirements into viable technical architectures and designs.
• Implement the designs (design, code, test, deploy). Support the deployed applications through debugging, fixing, and maintenance releases.
• Understand the current applications and technical architecture and insure that adherence to architecture standards are followed. Work with users, contractors, vendors and technical personnel to meet project milestones.
Other candidate requirements:
• Stay abreast of new technology and methods to optimize development for the enterprise.
• Effective at complex problem resolution and expected to assist in resolving all difficult to resolve issues expanding the solution to include infrastructure, architecture, and multi-tier tools and development strategies.
• Responsible for compliance to IS change management standards
• Work with users, contractors, vendors and technical personnel.
• Provide comprehensive consultation to business unit and IS management and staffs at the highest technical level.
